The childlike inquisitiveness and joy of the moment are infectious in this poem. I live in a place where I've been fortunate to see many rocks that were proud to be free... and have helped free a few, just for the fun of watching. The personification just pulls you right into the experience of being there.

The penultimate stanza and the final stanza are so moving. The way you pen your poems are so clear that even an ordinary layman could understand the meaning and wisdom of this write.

One of the most inspring poems I have ever read aside from your best poem, I Choose The Mountain and Something Big. What a brilliant write. You were able to conceive a poem on rolling rocks. Only a great poet can formulate such idea and weave them into a marvelous poem.

The third stanza invokes human beings to embrace every turn and tumble of life! The conclusive stanza provides a strong message to us that even after being removed from a top position, we should not lose heart rather we should enjoy life like a piece of rolling rock and Keep on progressing without losing heart, with a ‘never say die’ attitude! What a beautiful poem! Well penned my friend!

.....‘I saw some rocks skipping down hill’. The poet is absolutely thrilled with the rolling rocks! What a keen sense of observation! In the second stanza, I find a sense of joy of the rocks that are having a sublime bath and cherishing their freedom! (cont..)

Howard, they don't call you motivational for nothing. Every thing about this poem is so inspirational. From the title (too bad The Rolling Stones never thought of it) to all that vivid imagery. And wow dislodged by falling rain (perfect for both the rocks and state of mind) . I sincerely hope that poems like this and many of your others will continue to inspire all of us. Some of us have/had friends who are/were in palliative care. On their dying bed, it's our gift to them to surround them with positive energy. Whether it's poetry like yours, or art, or music, it brings a smile to their face. And how great of a parting gift is that!

This is a fine example of descriptive poetry. Going through an experience, dangerous and describing it in simplest way. Hats off for this poem.
