Overwhelmed by the size of stock
Ignorant of how to search
Pulls down book and books
From every shelf he attends

To you, the librarian
Empathy your watch word apply
Gently to him approach
To assist pick his choice request
With a greeting and a smile
Pride and shame may reject your offer
With more smiles win him over
Letting him know it is never easy
Reason professionals are handy
To assist every user his need
Make a friend of him if you can
And his need diligently meet
At the end you get a smile reward
A hearty handshake of confidence
A new convert you just won
Been professional is an art.
