Holy Frijoles! You really scored big in the NFSPS contests this year! EIGHT certificates and two cash prizes! You only got six certificates and one cash prize in the UTSPS contest. Way to go, Man! Congratulations!

'A WAIST IS A TERRIBLE THING TO MIND' is a hilarious title. As for 'SWIMMING NAKED IN SNAPPING TURTLE POND, ' I don't want to go there. The thought give me the shudders.
So... I see that you got a Third Honorable Mention in the recent 2023 Utah State Poetry Society Spring Contest with your poem 'Swimming Naked in Snapping Turtle Pond'. Now THAT'S one poem I would really like to read! When will you post it on Poem Hunter?
Ron, thank you for asking and for your comment. I will keep entering that poem in contests until it gets published somewhere. Arizona State Poetry Society, for example, publishes all of their winning poems. After it is published elsewhere, I will post it here.
I see that Robert Murray Smith has now deleted the comment that he had here. This is a common practice of his, to leave a comment and then delete it later, It is inexplicable to me why he does that.

Kim, congratulations on your latest wins in the UTSPS contest this year. I especially enjoyed your first place poem in category 13. Thanks for sharing it at our local meeting.
Hank, thank you. Last year I got six certificates in this contest but only one check. This year I only got four certificates, but three of them came with checks! I've been fortunate.
