A drain was built
To discharge water from backyard
Covered with concrete top & molded metal slits
To flow water through it.
One day a tiny toad entered into the drain
Through the slit of water pass
And stayed there with happiness.
None is there to share its food & shelter
The toad grows with ages
Into size of full grown adult
In few months.
It forget its past and tried to go out
But now the size of the Toad is larger
Than the slit it entered into drain.
Every day when backyard light glows
In the evening it comes to the slit
nodding its head and flapping its eyelids
Time and again.
But in vein
Neither the slit opens nor the toad
Can able to go out.
