Primeval Soup Poem by Haile Tesfaye

Primeval Soup

The son of man boast sovereignty and
declare to be omniscient yet knows not
what the hour bringeth forth. Man is but
a phantom with thoughts like vapor, and
he has caused disasters that he cannot atone.
Therefore it is absurd in the realms of logic
and moral culture to consider that all things
evolved from amoeba in a time consuming
primeval soup.
