If I watch a hawk hover,
As she hangs on her wings,
And I wonder at her stilled flight-
Do I distract myself with its meaning
For her victim in its plight?
Do I consider that her prey is keening
At its fate now underway?
I do. But I don't sympathize as I should,
For wonders are distracting
Me from thinking what I would.

An unsual and well penned Verse, indeed Alan Very Unique.10+
Thanks for reading my work. Prey came from conflicts felt in watching a hawk at the roadside, I just tried to tell the story as directly as possible. The Stand-Up Poet - it seems to me these events have much in common with comedy, but can be much less profound. My Neighbours, unfortunately, are not as described, but I wish they were.
