Amen to this. I don't want to join in the negativity of complaining so I maintain a silence about the present President. But what you wrote in this poem is not a rant against Trump but a series of moral notes to make him a better man, a more worthy man. It is an intrinsically positive approach to dissent, even though neither of us may feel any optimism. I remember vividly when Oliver North was lecturing Congress and the TV audience about why he (and the Reagan administration) were right to break the law and support the Contras, a Democratic Senator responded, The American people voted against such support, and the American people have the right to be wrong. Well, I may not like THIS situation, but I have to acknowledge the American people have the right etc.

Daniel, thank you so much for your positive and insightful feedback. You got the message loud and clear. Also, thank you for putting it in a proper context with the historical example. Greatly appreciated!
