Preacher Lady And Poet Poem by michael Smajda

Preacher Lady And Poet

Rating: 5.0

The preacher lady knew her bible.
She could recite you any psalm
Relevant to the poignant subject
In seemingly utmost, spiritual calm
Who came across an aspiring poet,
Whose biblical expertise at worse
Was but limited to the mere penning
Of occasional, religious verse.
Though their livelihoods were different,
She always kept God before her eyes
While he focused on his surroundings-
Both, in way, were considered wise.
Now, should they ever get together,
What topic should they talk about?
God and not verse?Verse and not God?
I'll let you know when I do find out!
