@Sankhajit Bhattacharjee, Thanks for your appreciation of my poem, @Sankhajit Bhattacharjee.
This Poem is so touchingly and impressively delineated. Loneliness is much painful that can't be expressed in words. This poem is your warmest dedication to Ruby Rashid, a friend in your Facebook. Thank you sir for sharing this beautiful poem. Five stars.
What a sympathetic and tender heart you have! However, I did find some fakes online so just beware. But this doesn't stop me going online.
@Yiyan Han, 'But this doesn't stop me going online' - yes, I too go online and participate in social media activities, though I know they are fraught with the danger of hackers. Many thanks for your praise, I am highly inspired by your comment.
Yeah, sometimes loneliness becomes the killer if not take positively. Losing near and dear ones keeps one aloof from crowd. That is dangerous. We must support the person and help him. Thanks for sharing such a beautiful poem on loneliness.
A touching poem, so full of compassion. The poem also goes to show that you have a compassionate heart, Khairul Sahab! " I feel lonely, please pray for me' does pull the strings of your heart. I too, join you with prayers for this lonely soul. May God bless her with peace. Thank you so much for sharing this poem with us.............Top stars!
A sensitive heart can always feel others' pain! We read many things, but let them go! This woman's appeal who lost two of her dear ones at a row touched your heart deeply and you sent her timely consolation! Besides you have come up with a touching poem creating the same emotion in your readers that you felt when you read the two touching lines she had posted !
i wwas on fb once then i abandoned read my two poems Moms Smiles and When in Loneliness Think of Me if teas don't wet your eyes tell me o pOet sir
Lonesome post! Hope and dreams! Better days ahead. Thanks for sharing this poem with us.
3 - And i have suggestions for the last stanza, but your meaning is clear. You are compassionate …(and MAYBE naive? She may have wanted some warm words, but her story may not be true) . You are a good person. ;) bri ;) Nice Poet's Notes to MyPoemList
2 – st.5 " Because of its naivety" Why use " naivety" **? ** Though i Googled and found varying definitions (& spellings) , " naivety" seems to simply mean: " trust based on not having much experience" . (cont.)
1 - line 6: You used " many a" [an idiom] " many a (something) " [means] " Many. Always followed by a singular noun. Many a man has tried to vanquish the beast, but none have succeeded" st.5 " The lonesome post touched me deep." I'd use " deeply" . (cont.)
To put oneself in the shoes of others and feel their pains are acts of kindness/ empathy. Reaching a lonely soul and offering prayers for her are indeed noble acts. An act of compassion. A very heartwarming and thoughtful write. I concur with the wonderful comment of Lyn Paul. Your act is worthy of emulation. A well expressed and crafted poem. Five Stars! ! !
A poet should be empathetic always. He should be able to 'put on other's shirts' Thanks KhairulJi
I am much inspired by your two lines, @Suresh Kumar Ek. It's always a pleasure to have one's poem read by someone who knows how to appreciate. So, thank you too, for giving me this pleasure.
Heartbreaking to read, I know several people like that on my fb, and on multiple groups, several I have contacted personally to know how well they are. This poem contains great compassion and empathy. It is good that you reached out to that lonely soul! we need light in darkness. A wonderful poem!
@Kevin Patrick, Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and experiences after reading this poem. You have rightly said, 'we need light in darkness' and may I add, just a few kind words of solace may emit rays of light in a dark tunnel to show the way to a perplexed soul. Humbled by the high praise you've accorded to my poem..
If only this world could bond together just as you have. Thank You
Thank you for feeling for another human being. Thats how it should be. No one need ever be alone as long you have access to cyberspace.
'No one need ever be alone as long you have access to cyberspace.' - Well said, @Deluke Muwanigwa, I quite agree with you. Much inspired by your appreciation of the poem, thank you.
'Loneliness is a heavy burden' indeed so! Thanks for sharing your thoughts, @Kostas Lagos.
‘I feel very lonely. Please pray for me.' -line of emotional urge prayer is the true companion of lonesome life!
Such a lovely thing to do, Khairul. You mat never know the ripples that such a kindness might create not only in her heart but also in others. We all might need a little help from a stranger to get through these days of the year 2020. Top marks for this poem and for your heart and soul
