The poem though starts with a dismal note moves on and progresses through gloom to light as he is aided with guidance from above! Beautifully put! !
Without prayers crumpled souls cannot find light. The protagonist in your poem is groping and stumbling for light but did not give up as he has the rope of prayers in hands.
Prayer is the key that unlocks the door. Looks like that door was opened wide. By prayer that is how we communicate with God. I especially love the line As I gaze up towards the cloudy vaults of Heaven, this was very touching to me. Nice use of imagery here.
Prayer is not asking. It is a longing of the soul. It is daily admission of one's weakness. It is better in prayer to have a heart without words than words without a heart. i must bow my head in front of you cause you are indeed a brilliant and the most fabulous writer. bravo
It is a fine poem with a message. I feel that a re -editing could make it more beautiful. If I edit the last two lines, It would be I am not to commit blasphemy But at my own will I move I like the spirit of the prayer.
God just gives that extra push when we realy need it.The mixure of imagery, soul search, emotions and realisation really fives a treat! Bravo sir!

i loved the prayer. in my opinion blessing is the divine absolutely gifted as an extra value whereas curse is the consequence of our evil deeds. curse does not shower from heaven but blessing does. a beautiful write.keep writing.
