Be wary, praises kill!
Freddy was much praised
Straight into his head, it went
Down street he bounced
But ended in a sewer pit!
Herod the king relished praises
When addressing dissents
'A god's voice, and not a man's'
The Sidonian praise
tasted all savoury and honey
The same day
He had a taste of lively maggots in his flesh!
Wesley was all humble
Till praises in plenty came
He drove like never before
One hand on the steering
The other on a cigar
The other gesticulating wildly
He drove straight into a brick wall!
Jane is so beautiful
Beautiful than Betty
All around her
Beauty hums
She spends all day applying lip gloss
And treats other women as trash.
Monday was a rainmaker
Loved and feared in equal measure
His praises rang clear
From Emanga to Kabondo
One day he dared stop a full storm
He was struck in full glare of all - Women and children!
