Power Play! Poem by Long Tooth

Power Play!

If power pays when power plays, all action has its cost
And when aggressor's shot his wad, it still might be he's lost
Love's only way that two can win, not zero-sum type game,
But win-win games are rare in life; the future's seldom tame!

Or is there even room for God if you're the man in charge?
To go for gold is fine, of course, but God (if true) quite large!
If God's sole author of Man's time whose plan you want to win,
What soul not benefit from Grace, or is that only spin?

Is there a chance your God's too small, you lack humility?
Or has creation thrown you curve, God missing you can't see?
Did you provide yourself with life, still stuff for you to learn?
Creator real? Does void appeal? If wrong, where will you turn?

Excellent points to muse over once deciphered through an eccentric delivery.
