Poverty's Fire Of Love Poem by Shaun Cronick

Poverty's Fire Of Love

Rating: 5.0

I may not have the meat I want,
The butter or the tea.
But the bread of human kindness,
Always has and will be free.

When in winter I'm short of fuel,
Never worry, for you play your part.
The fire of your love will always,
Be kept burning in my heart.

Excellent and poignant. Rings with a truth many of us wanted to express or feel for real at one point in our lives.
