As I sit looking at the wall I start hearing the rain
Drops begin to fall I looked deeply into her eyes
It's as if she was trying to disguise
The beauty that was inside but
Deep down it could never hide
No matter how hard she tried
Still the rain never would subside
Just then my sub-conscience calls
I was waiting for my chance to say
But my words never came into play
It's like this every night and day
Sometimes I just wanna press replay
But I know it's never gonna
Sometimes the past just haunts ya
She said back to me I thought it
Was just me it does that to me too
Saying her words could never get
Through I remember the melody
Screaming back at me on repeat
So many things I was going to tell
You but the words kept escaping
You see hey remember when I told
You that you would become
Somebody one day I meant it
All the way Richie never let my
Words decay or relinquish I
Just think back at the little
Moments in time hoping I
Could press rewind hoping
To God that some day I'll
Shine I would constantly say
I hope you're right She just looks
At me and nudges my back knee
Then she said finally we will
Forever be like stars in the skies
The brightest ones truly never dies
It's our scout's honor then I would
Slowly let out a tear people had
Disappeared being alone is what
I had always feared sometimes I
hear her still as my eyes fills up
With tears when she disappeared
Not one was willing to hear as they
Close their ears even my own peers
What happens when thoughts are on
The outs increasing unreasonable
Doubts so much time has already
Passed I just wonder how many stars
Will continue to shine every-time I
Gaze at the sky imagining soaring
Eagles then I fly Some called it Richie's
Evolution why do many people spread
Confusion stating my thoughts are pure
Illusions they don't realize their incisions
Are causing my brain contusions
Just give me a listen of what I envision
And that's to be a remembered poet
For all eternity my instilled Legacy.
