Post Rain Poem by Nosheen Irfan

Post Rain

Looks like
The rain was all I wanted
To be light weight
And feathery
But now that it has rained
And the air is perfumed
The leaves repaired
Life has something of a rebirth
Why is this weight
Still on the shoulders
Like the pointed top of the Pyramids
Grazing the silence of the night
What does it take?
To lift the weight
Of many years of circling around
The wishes of a foolish heart.

Heart is ever demanding and wishes are never ending. No matter what, we keep our baggage on....Thoughtful poem, Full ******.

And the air is perfumed/The leaves repaired/Life has something of a rebirth...I like these three lines the most! A beautiful poem. Though I can't put 5 stars here but certainly I must take this beautiful poem to my favorites!
