Portrayals Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Portrayals

Observe to be a witness,
How it is God finds...
Many ways these days,
To test faith keepers.
With a putting,
What seems impossible obstacles...
For them to endure.
Without letting God,
Be first to cure their anguish.
Allowing this,
In their minds to recognize...
The reason and why,
These days permitted...
Have continued to exist.

And then pay attention to listen,
Who it is complaining more...
Ignoring everyday to pray.
Yet will find time to blame,
Others for what God does.
When they are the ones,
Portraying themselves to be 'Christians'!
To not understand or comprehend,
Faking to imitate false images...
Leaves no one to benefit from them.
Expecting to rewarded,
For a going through the motions.
Disconnected from emotional devotion.
Neither felt to feel or shown.
