Portland Head Light Poem by Night Flyer

Portland Head Light

Waves and foam, the endless surf
Crashing on the shipwreck rocks of Maine's haunted shore
And Portland Head Light, rising like a sentinel on its windswept cliff
The greys of sea, mist and clouds
Revealing distant lighthouses
And promontories jutting out into the briny sea's violence
This panorama of confusion
Sweeping out before me in a spellbinding vision
An eternal clash of sea and rock with its thunderous roar.
