Port, Portland! Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Port, Portland!

Port, Portland!
Worshipped,
Bridles,
And blood came out from the winepress!
Muse,
Fuse,
World Press;
Before the throne,
Tone!
Bone,
One;
Confirmity,
Direction,
To follow it,
Infuse!
To swallow it,
Not to refuse it;
To allow it,
Not to borrow it.
