In a word, yes! We cannot change our nature. We go to the cenotaph not to despise war but to honor lost comrades. Perhaps we should do both. Good poem.

Thank you Terry, for your thoughtful comment on my poem. It seems to me it is easy to despise war. What we can't seem to do is stop it happening.

An insightful piece that portrays the evil of man inhumanity to man that is war, well articulated and nicely penned in poetic diction with conviction. A good wake up call that reminds humanity of the interrelatedness of reality. Thanks for sharing Arthur. Please read my poem POETIC MASTERPIECE.
