I could recall the famous literary masterpiece through your craftily written composition. The choice of diction well depicts Belinda's character. Well-done Shahzia!

@ Ms.Valsa George & Ms. Valerie Dohren: yes, she is Belinda who considered the breach to her apparent beauty graver than her integrity, and yes, the curl metaphor was decoded as virginity by S.E.Hyman in 20th century. Your substantial visits to my world are truly appreciated.

Very good Shahzia, is the curl a metaphor for her virginity? That's how I read it.

Was that girl by the name Belinda? Like Alexander Pope's Belinda, did she consider this breach to her appearance graver than a breach to her integrity? A skillful adaptation of a renowned mock epic!
