I liked what Andrew wrote and agree with him... Pete, I feel rotten about this happening. How absolutely outrageous - fight the god dammed government decision with all your might...even if it means posters and banners and petitions all the way to 10 Downing Street. No, one could not expect a PM who agrees to go to war in Iraq (having no morals himself) to do anything other than what he's done...Kilnsea sounds far too precious not to give it your best go. I feel sick to the pit of my stomach and am glad you wrote it out as a poem.
This poem scares me to death and breaks my heart at the same time. You wrote this very well...keeping out any sappy emotion (as I am prone to do) but leading us into our own emotion over a government who decides who and what to save and who to allow to crumble into the sea. Very nice, Peter. Raynette
I see so much money wasted on useless things when it could be spent on something worthwhile. I begin to wonder where these people who decide on these things live, abroad I should think, for I'm sure half of them never ever see what they make decisions about. To me that's what The Lottery and Heritage money should be spent on. We should be preserving our country. Sincerely Ernestine
