He places too much trust in the politicians. It isn't only random cries that are the problem, but secret special interests. Though he's right enough that pandering to newspaper hoo-haa plays too big a role. Things haven't changed much since his time.
Someone needs to pull the chain and apply the brakes on the Trump train. LOL
Timely and incisive. Unfortunately, politicians are often so busy straining to hear the random cries that they do not know [their] craft and firmly hold the rein as they ought.
