Political Puzzlement Comments

Paul, I like the last line. My problem is there doesn't seem to be much reason for writing this as a poem, that is, organizing it by line and stanza. The language isn't intense enough or imagistic enough to benefit from form. Words like wellbeing, system, talent, positive, etc. are so abstract, the poem simply tells without engaging the reader. You might benefit from reading some good contemporary poetry like Philip Levine's, which is plain but employs intensely figures of speech.
