I agree with this write wholeheartedly. You expressed your concerns about a situation that need to be addressed. Yes Poets do need readers for their works are mostly based on what, where, how and why. Comments and views are important, however it does not always portray how good or talented a Poet is. A very thoughtful write.

Poets read readers and their comments and opinions, otherwise poets may not have the clue whether their work is admired or not..a sincere poem on the thoughts of poets as many others and me..Thank you for sharing..
