Poetry wrote me
Some were...factory workers
On broken assembly lines
Hopelessly...fixing their lives
so many powerful images are stirred with 'factory workers On broken assembly lines'; one that haunts me is how decades past, America abandoned their factory workers for foreign sweat shop cheap labour, the social mental trauma and poverty in the US; chasing more elite shareholder profits caused.
I wrote the poem 'America Abandoned Loyal Factory Workers', inspired by my comment on the poem 'Poetry Wrote Me - 86', by the poet Richard Wlodarski; and dedicated the poem to the poet Richard Wlodarski.
Terence, your comments and poetry are very insightful. I really appreciate both. America and Canada are still full of sweat shops. I have a friend who used to work in one in downtown Toronto. Thankfully, her children didn't have to face the same indignity!
This is a powerful poem that reminds us of the value and worth of every human being. Thanks for sharing
Don, I had written you a response, but PH had somehow not posted it. In total accord with you...every single human being contributes something to this adventure known as LIFE. Many THX for your beautifully insightful comment, Poet Bukana!
Sincerest THX to Dillip and Anjandev for your very positive comments. I had tried 3x to post comments to both of you!
I agree with Rajan' comment. On two assembly lines at the same time. You have perfected the skill of bridging two disparate circumstances.5******

I would like to translate this poem
New addition to this marvellous series. There is poetry everywhere, even in broken down machines.. You are a genius, Richard
Poet Menon, I always value your comments. THX so very much!
That's the beauty of the creative process...it can be found everywhere. And poetry is the most portable! I don't think that I would like to be a genius...too much pressure!
