HEALING THE HEART - The Heart is our central metaphor for what makes us human(e) . It links with the thoughts of the mind, and the feelings of the body, and gives moral purpose to both thoughts and feelings. And so Poetry saves us. It throws us a lifeline when we're floundering and it give us an invitation to the Festival of Life when all is well. And moral purpose shines a bright light always, whether we are floundering or feasting. And all of this is our prayer that what is moral and beautiful will prevail. You've filled me with HOPE tonight, Sandra!
