Poetry Is The Echo Of The Soul
Poetry!
You reside in the depth of a heart
You shape yourself from deep emotions
Be it of sweet joys
Or of painful sorrows
You evolve
When words, some speakable and some unspeakable
Boil within.
Like the waves of a sea
They want to touch the sky
They are dreams bounded by iron fetters
Who want to jump forth
Like a singing brook
Sometimes they flow like
Golden waves from a rising sun
Illuminating the dark corners of heart and mind
And chart a new path for a rudderless soul
They ink their way from a single soul
To touch a million others
And merge with the common soul of poetry.
