Ha ha what a scintillating well humoured poem written expertly, um sad you didn't see me there, , actually first i didn't recognise the names and thought you were meaning some classical famous poets only, then i recognized some names. Kudos! ly

Kim, this 'new' QUOTE from you on PH did 'give me a laugh' (NOT a big laugh) : quote: 'My wife asked me if I had seen the dog bowl. I said I didn't even know that he could! '

Since yesterday,03 February 2024, when I log onto PoemHunter site, the screen opens, instead of the'HomePage', to one of my poems in the "Edit" mode. Kim, do you have similar issue?

Unni, this question belongs in a private message, not in a comment on one of my poems. When I log into PH, it NEVER sends me to the home page, but to the list of 'Best Poets'.

3rd stanza: my favorite so far AND...Ah! James McLain, formerly 'Is It Poetry', now writes using 'James McLain'. If you read one of his NEWER poems, you might not think HE wrote it. : )

I was surprised when you said that PH had classified this poem as a LOVE poem, but sure enough, it is listed there. Probably because of the LOVELY sonnet that is included in it.

Loved the Love Sonnet in the poem. Your meeting with differet Poets was great in Poetry Heaven. But Robert Frost made a big mistake when he said you did not belong to Poem Hunter. You are a vital part of Poem Hunter and your presence here has enriched the site.

PH is not a precise poemsite, BUT a very Sluttish one. You wrote an excellent poem, dear Kim, my great compliments and TOP Stars added here.I have enjoyed tremendously. Thank you for sharing

I have given up on Poem Hunter ever rectifying their infraction, so I have replaced the picture myself. Hopefully they will leave it alone now.

A clever and fun poem, but what happened to the statue photo that went with it?

Poem Hunter removed it without my knowledge or permission.

I thought I replied to this yesterday, but the reply is not showing. Poem Hunter has removed the picture without my knowledge or consent.

the last stanza...? You didn't belong because 1- you were not part of PoemHunter wing....OR... because 2 - You weren't dead yet? Or was 'Poetry Heaven' for living and dead poets. You ARE a poet. Hmmm?

The implication was that I wasn't a good enough poet to be with those other poets...

The implication was that I wasn't a good enough poet to be with those other poets... or maybe I wasn't a good enough person to be in heaven... or maybe both.

I DO SEE THAT THE PHOTO WHICH you POSTED FOR THIS POEM IN 2015 IS, inexplicably replaced by a non-photo without your consent (according to your non-poem posted in Jan.2023, entitled Totally Unacceptable) .

I'm looking for the picture of the Cristo Redentor statue at Rio de Janeiro. But not finding it here. Hopefully Kim Barney doesn't disappear too!

Rob, thank you for the comment. I doubt if Poem Hunter will do the right thing and restore the picture, but we shall see...
