With the love of words,
And the touch of a pen,
I'm floating in poetry heaven again,
Memories unfold,
It's a bright summer's day,
I'm strolling along,
The sky's turned from grey,
To a wonderful blue,
And I'm feeling so fine,
For you walk with me,
Your strong hand in mine,
And right at this moment,
I'm hearing sweet sounds,
Of the birds in the treetops,
As we walk this ground,
And we sit down to rest,
To take in the view,
This is my joy,
Just being with you,
For life holds fond memories,
Looked upon with a smile,
Those wonderful days,
When we walked many miles,
This longing to see you,
Lives on in my heart,
The memories will stay,
Our souls will never part.
