Poetry Groups and Aaron jumpers – Beautiful mood setting first stanza, great imagery and emotion. Stanza 2, poetry as therapy that takes us to the most perfect parts of childhood, a delight. Stanza 3, apprehension and nervousness, why are you there? A sigh – so fine the emotional baggage of that deep breath. Stanza 4 – the escape to a safe harbour. This is the heart of this beautiful poem, the mind reaching, wandering and being embraced in love, comfort food, embracing, lighthouse keeper thick textured woollen clad loving and adoring arms. This is poetry. Escapism and desire, beauty attained, love craved. Sanctuary recognised and calling, beckoning a hearts true desire. Stanza 5 – The loss of some one never known, but by poetic deeds and inspiration, recently introduced posthumously can never be undone, but the grief is overcome by a radiant energy of their power and appreciation for the art and merit can only grow. And yet we may grieve for that lost which was so close then, but unknown. This is a very finely crafted poem with precise imagery and emotion, structured with a sculptures eye and essence reading the language and form to skilfully fashion an enduring beauty. A marked change in purpose for the poet that shows a turning point in creative power.
