'A poem of exquisite beauty and passionate love! ' - That's what this poem is. I agree with Bri Edwards: The word 'languishing' in the thid line may be replaced by 'lounging'. The poem and the picture complement each other, a beautiful combination.
While a beautiful white lotus looks on With ardent curiosity, Scintillating images into colourful phrases, Like shining pearl droplets of dancing rain, A poem of exquisite beauty and passionate.... enchanting expression. Beautiful poem with attractive graphic. Thanks for sharing.
A lovely poem to match a lovely picture...is that lady Dhamayanthy of Nala Maharaj...I may be wrong..but I am reminded of a similar picture by the great Ravivarma...you are a gift to Indian poetry...God bless you Geeta
The image and the poem are equally scintillating! 'A thing of beauty is a joy for ever'..... It is not the experience of Keats alone! It is everyone's experience! Loved the lines!
2 – line 8 scintillate [i question the appropriateness of this word here] As with many words, this has several definitions. " to dazzle or impress with liveliness or wit" & " spark" & " sparkle" I thought " scintillating" was only used as an adjective; i was wrong. The poem is poetic, but i DO have doubts. bri :)
1 – line 3 I don't think you 'want' " languishing" here, DO you? Maybe " lounging" ? line 5 cajoling " persuade (someone) to do something by sustained coaxing or flattery" I DID NOT KNOW the definition! ! ;) (cont.)
Cajoling a white swan in a tranquil pond, While a beautiful white lotus looks on With ardent curiosity, beautiful poetry dancing poetess that ye be ma'am
While I was seeing the graphic appearing with the poem, I was reminded of the story of Nala and Damayanti which has reference in Mahabharata. Raja Ravi Varma, In one of his his paintings, has also depicted Damayanti and the swan at her father's palace-pond. There the swan is shown perched on a pillar and is praising about king Nala, whom he had met a few days back, before Damayanti. The swan acted as a messenger between the two.
This is indeed scintillating. Though, it is all about writing of poetry by the poetess who is inspired by lotus and swan and for that matter the entire nature at large, it is your skill and delicate touch which catapults the reader on a journey to the aesthetic world. Matchless portrayal and a grand spectacle of poetic excellence. Thank you so much, Geeta ji.
What an amazing depiction of the beautiful poetess like yourself :) On my fav list.5+
