'and the barn burns...' may i use that in my next 100 poems? walking home, i spied a large man sitting on a bench, his legs apart, his stretchy shorts split in his ample crotch. i tried to ignore it, the horrid sight of a bulge protruding, but........ no matter how hard i tried to look away, at his crotch i had to watch. and the barn burned! [almost a true story; actually i told him of his wardrobe malfunction. he pulled his large (X-large) T-shirt down over the offending sight/site, and.... then he mentioned part of the age-old adage about left the barn door open. REALLY! ] bri :) enjoyed

I found myself relating to every turn of your pen with this write Brian. From....... I seem to have no problem starting a poem (I have pages and pages of great opening lines) , but ending one properly is another matter. I mean, I think we can all agree a poem needs a strong finish.' To...... 'Dammit, I knew this was going to happen... Here I am, again- -nearing that spot where I have to end my poem. I mean, what choice do I have? I can't just keep writing, can I? Can I? A poem that never ends? concept.' A huge LOL moment for that.....just loved it....10++

An enjoyable read as always. I have more opening lines than Doan's has little pills. They sometimes move from page to page when the paper becomes messy. Occasionally, one finally gets used but not before a dozen more have crowded my notebooks. A never ending poem is an interesting concept, along with a rebel tweet.: -) I have been aware of my garbage status for a long time, which is why I am now going to indulge in some bucolic arson
