Poe, Blake And Keats Poem by Phil Soar

Poe, Blake And Keats

I read of Poe and Blake and Keats
And many poets, and all their feats
I tried to match their copious fame
But my attempts don't sound the same
My lines of verse and all the prose
Were just not equal I suppose
But how can I begin to write
And make the result pure delight?
I try my best to entertain
With words of love and soft refrain
But seldom do I match the skill
Of poets whose words bless us still
Until I can their skill surpass
I'll sit and write some rhyming trash!
