Pm Justin Trudeau's Brilliant Blue Eyes

PM Justin Trudeau's brilliant blue eyes
-Gayathri B. Seetharam
There is a frank look in his eyes
Which bespeak of promises to Canada
Mostly kept but a few broken
An air of honesty which rings true;

If blue is the colour of the blue skies
And on a sunny day, the colour of the
Lake Ontario, it gives me a clue as to what
Is on his Prime Ministerial mind
And that is the welfare of the Canadian people;

But I say this to you, PM Trudeau, I am at sea
Like a boat adrift in the sea of skies
For you have raised my hopes up high
And if I think that choppy waters are hard to manouver
I also think still waters run deep;

And this silence speaks of sunny days for me
For there is happiness in work and creation
But there is a foreboding quietness to his silence
Which could imply a sudden change of heart
Not in my direction;

And hence, I say to him, if your brilliant blue eyes
Do not shine in my direction
Then "blink once for yes and twice for" yes
For I will not take no for an answer
And you cannot dash my raised up hopes to the ground;

And I appeal to your sense of justice
Which is native to your nature
And say that I have worked long and hard and
Been unbelievably productive
And hence, you should keep your promise to publish and pay me
And if the blue skies reflect in the blueness of the water
It is the way of an honest man to fulfill his promise.
