PM Justin Trudeau heralds the onset of 2020
-Gayathri B. Seetharam
There was a scathing editorial in The Globe and Mail some days ago
About how unapologetic the PM can be in the face of alleged misconduct
And you are thinking, Here we go again, not the blackening of his face three times
Or the SNC Lavalin company caught in figurative quicksand and the PM's Office backing them;
To you, I say that I did hit the man when his defences were down
And this is not a done thing in moral behaviour
However, I plead that I was upset at the admission
And now, I think he has redeemed himself in my eyes
By fighting an outstanding election battle
And not engaging in negative campaigning as much as the Conservative party;
To my critical side, I say that Canada did have a say which came through
In the outcome of the election
And I, in jest say, that he is Santa Claus to the other parties
Saying, Ho, Ho, Ho, Hoping you will vote in favour of my bills presented in Parliament;
He has plenty of good in him and
He does have his heart in the right place
With his ‘Right to Housing' bill and he is wearing a red and white hat
And is saying, Ho, Ho, Ho, Home in the market;
His battle against climate change and global warming
Is intense and although I laud him for intending to preserve
The music in the atmosphere in all things Canadian,
Which is oxygen and nitrogen that is beautiful music
And the additional content, methane and carbon dioxide
Which is jarring cacophony,
I must gently chide him for not giving my proof against global warming engineering papers
And a water making process paper which simultaneously reduces greenhouse gas emissions
A thorough read and even making allowances for him for he is not a technical graduate,
I think that it is his loss
But I must mention that my professors did not mention the beauty of my results to him
Although I must thank Prof. Peter Zandstra for having submitted the papers to a technical journal
Named Journal of Chemical Technology and Biotechnology;
As everybody has a dream, so do I and it is to be recognised by PM Justin Trudeau
Who has apparently promised to publish and pay me and fund me for my 2 small business projects
And if all this comes to pass and I am rewarded for my efforts and endeavours by him,
I am going to invite him and his three children to my home for a high tea
And I would love to shake hands with him as a fellow feminist
And discuss my and his interests in life
As well as let the three children have a stage to voice their opinions;
Here's to a rewarding and wonderful 2020 to you and me, PM Justin Trudeau!
