Please Save Me From Love Poem by Long Tooth

Please Save Me From Love

Please save me from Love I can never deserve,
If I'm doomed just to lose it when Life throws me curve,
It seems 'nothing' is better if it comes to this:
All can see that I found and then lost true love's kiss!

And don't tell me love's process, I'm down on my knees,
Or suggest that it's gifting (more blithe ironies) ,
For I want to be dead sure; it's true love or none,
And small wonder so many become priest or nun!
