Yes wise children have a lot to learn from parents who give pieces of advice but who are not ruthlessly judgemental.who measure their love to their children by the feathers on their caps.

Read this poem again and remembered when my younger son was 25, he called me up and said, Mom, you were right. About what, I said. Well, remember all those talks and lectures you gave me when I was younger? You thought I wasn't listening to you - well, I was, and you were right about everything. Just wanted to let you know that I appreciate what you've done for me. Thank you, Mom. I love you, Mom. Sometimes they do listen to what you say, they just don't let on that they have. Totally identify with you. Family is the greatest! I'm the oldest of eight, sometimes trying to help younger siblings is like talking to the wall, but you keep trying through the years, hoping they'll mature somewhere along the way and actually listen.
