Please Don't Try And Push Me Poem by Clive Blake

Please Don't Try And Push Me

Please don't try and push me,
Don't hustle and crowd me in,
I need some space to find myself,
To work out where I fit in.

Please don't try and push me,
Just let me go at my own pace,
As the tortoise proved to the hare,
There's more than one way to win a race.

Please don't try and push me,
Don't assume that you know best,
Although we all look much the same,
I am very different from the rest.

Please don't try and push me,
Just let me go at my own speed,
I know where I want to go in life
And I'm sure I will succeed.
