These hours grow longer as time ticks on
Silence where once laughter, love resided
I feel like my heart has been hung and drawn
And now just waiting to be divided

Your orn'ry smile is burned in my mind
Your voice rings everlasting in my ears
Surely you know I'd go mentally blind
Surely you know, your voice, not to hear

But, here I am, stuck in this fresh new hell
Not by choice… Loving you, never a choice
Took no more than one date and I had fell
Ever since, I've seen your words… heard your voice

Until now, where all I see is white space
All I hear is faint cheer of what once was
I'd do anything, meet you anyplace
As I believe "us" is a worthy cause

Please, I beg of you, don't leave me alone
I need you so much more than words can say
I can be so much more than I have shown
Bring me back in; we can start this new day

Let that day be hallmarked by respect and peace
A promise: I will always put you first
Let love for each other ever increase
Please bring me back and help me quench this thirst
