Great piece of poetry - we are all the designers of our own fortune. Very well written.

Fortune is the play, and we the actors and actresses, and we read to Her script. Well done!

I like it. Reads well and leaves one with a worthwhile tone. Read mine - Memory Is a Cheating Thing - Adeline

Who hath dallied with Fortuna and won her sidelong glances.... no Achilles thus yet born, who dallies with her tresses as the flute of time plays no lips that held her pinned nor hands that felt her ever soft the fickle Fortuna here so well laid out in stunning silhouettes speaks an alien language to the one who seeks great lines…. context 10 content 10 :) …with pleasure

Nobody has ever won against fortune. You can only win with fortune. The one who says i won against is a liar therefore or exaggerator.Fortune is personified here in the form of a woman.Swirls and twists and therefore sweepstakes.Only sometimes it is not the lavazza senorita. Well said ideas.Fortune is invincible so unpredictable.

Nemesis plays a vital role in our life.I believe it. Representation of the theme is marvelous.

Reminds me of the Tweedlelum-Tweedledee of Hamlet, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern. One of them said, talking to Hamlet: We are not the very buttons on Fortune's cap. When, like a strumpet, Fortune dodges us and knocks us about, we muck about like bats for some anchorage in life. Sometimes, only sometimes, she lets us eat some crumbs from her table-the occasional episodes of happiness in the general drama of pain, as Hardy would have it-and then starts playing the blindman's buff with us again. Her wiles and guiles (her cunning tricks, as you say) ultimately get her on the victory stand, and our ends are shaped by her (or her alter ego, Divinity) , rough hew them how we will. A beautiful piece of art! ! Thumbs up Shazia! ! An aside: For one thing, feminine gender pronoun She used for Fortune makes her a good fare for a feminist reading.

Fortune may be scared of war, notoriety of religions and inefficient government, so why should we blame her. To lure her, we must have some standard!

Fortune is so not a child`s play.Perhaps the one who has its taste has valued or salvaged it more than the one running after others.

fortune personified and how she plays with us is the central idea of the poem and the idea is developed well with a crafty hand..........
