Playing Possum Poem by Chris Embrick

Playing Possum

The town folk had a problem
When the groundhog played possum
When they pulled him from the sack
Much to everyone's surprise
He never opened his eyes
They said, ' Well he didn't see his shadow'
But to settle the matter
This year we'll just use the almanac.
