O how great cheer that we feel as the trees flourish.
Today we enjoy our natural resources
But it seems we do not know that they may vanish.

In the past we deforested almost the entire old world, then moved to the new world and did the same, especially in America where forests were cut down for glass manufacture before coal and oil became the standard fuels in the industrial revolution. Now only third world tracks of forest in Indonesia and the Amazon etc remain. Earth Rape continues...

Obed, I love reading this poem, as if it's taking me out to the whole world needing planting. A good message for ppl throughout the world...

A very good message you have given at the end. Cut no more trees and grow more trees.

I could use the same comments that I used for 'Earth Status' but I'll not chatter away. First, man should plan for the future before planting any thing if his basis for planting is wealth and power.

I enjoyed reading this very much. The importance of our existence seems to have been processed as a fast food concept that provides little nutrients to nourish as people are encouraged to diet. But from what? An absence of an unreconized and needed discipline? We have become specimens of an experiement that has backfired. OH! Yes, I did enjoy your poem. It allowed this rambling. lol
