Planetary Parade Poem by Klairine Belledeur

Planetary Parade

The sun just set as I look high.
A few times a year when delay light fades.
Mars, Venus, Jupiter, and Saturn are marching in the sky.
It is now here; the Planetary Parade!

Uranus and Neptune are part of the band.
All six are there and are wonderfully arrayed.
I gaze through a telescope as I stand.
How can one not be in awe at this planetary parade.

Every 396 billion years, all eight planets phenomenally align.
Nighttime watchers witness a wonderful display.
Planetary alignments occur by design.
Watch their performance; the Planetary Parade!
