Pixie Passion Poem by Gordon D Wilkinson

Pixie Passion

Rating: 5.0

Hidden at the rivers curve
Dappled sunshine lancing through
Darting
Playing like sprites in the leaves
Defused on the water
Reflections shimmering
Gentle edges quivering
Light zephyrs touch in passing
Making faces distorted sheen
Grinning young pixies staring back
Out of the azure depths
Smiling so much, deep in loves grip
Minds oblivious, the world not pausing passes by
Lovers breathlessly reflect
Lying looking over the punts flattened bow
Ripples spreading by slight movements
Small wavelets hitting the banks
Glorious
Not another word could compete or explain
Together nestled
Magnificent
Captains of the love vessel
Giggling in unison
Out of their private yet public exhibition
If only the world knew
So pleased, it did not
That fiery passion had boiled
Had consumed without thought
Spilled over the fear of detection
Yes glorious
As exhausting sleep came
Nymphs of the water vanished
Back into the cupboards
Hidden
Waiting until the next time
Two pixies
Smile and frolic
Lovers
As one
