Pimp Poem by Raj Dronamraju

Pimp

You didn't read the small print
The part where you are bonded to him for a set period of time
The part where they are given the rights to set foot on your beach in a conqueror's stance
Trampling hesitant virtue under the promise of a new handbag

Your desperation clouded my certainty
Made your master bedroom seem like the streets
Romance in agreement and the obligation is enforced tenfold
Hitting anyone damages the resplendent dandy self first

And I fooled myself into believing I was great
And I converted you to this way of thinking as well
American idol flush with the ritual of prosperity
A shining characterization is a weakened illusion

Get with thee, refrigerated loneliness
Relaxant posture for a dead-eye afternoon
Craning necks quickly jerk from teenage windows
It happens that the family did not provide the appropriate moral education
