Pieces Of Himself (The Piece Of Himself That He Left With The Girl Sitting By The Pear Tree) Poem by Nyx C Styx

Pieces Of Himself (The Piece Of Himself That He Left With The Girl Sitting By The Pear Tree)

Not knowing who he is
he found himself in pieces
scattered here and there to help him
find himself

he found himself in the last page of
'Of Mice and Men'

Another piece at the local bakery that serves
the finest lemon meringue

a few more pieces scattered in the city
the local theater
in the museum
in the vintage coffee shop

he found himself at night
when the moon was full
or when the sun was rising
but most of all he preferred the rare sunset
when the sky was scorched red

he found himself by in the royal purple
of an Indian silk scarf

He found himself in tea house
hosted by Geisha's in Kyoto suburbs

Bits and pieces scattered here and there
and one piece
unknowingly or knowingly
he left it with the girl there by the pear tree
