Phantom Poem by Melanie Emikohe

Phantom

Rating: 5.0

You came out of the sky
Like a bolt of a thousand hearts!
Smothered me with lilac clouds
And perfume rain.
I got High!

They were all so vivid,
That it felt too real.

We were shadows out of sight,
Soaked by the crimson rain,
Laughed while shivering.
We rolled to the muddy puddle
Our faces got drips of soupy mess,
And it didn't matter!

I burrowed too deep.

Then you woke out of a dream,
So easy.
My heart is this little piece of candy.
