a BIT mysterious, i'd say. is Obama your boss? or Putin? ? which one has better benefits, i wonder. hmmm? . it has been years since (for some nights in a row, i think) i woke up (before my wake up time) to write small poems.
I've heard a few people refer to BJ as simple but i thought they were kidding. now he admits it! !
some favorite lines:
A truly no mess death machine
But if I want you dead you are.”
and
My friend you look quite pale! ”
The good news is you’re still alive,
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
these lines have stumped me:
But in a box, or on two feet,
I’m open to suggestions,
- - - - - - - -
You're= correct (+ one point)
other's=incorrect (-two points)
but i liked how you used authors and write near the ending.
i'm glad i was not present at the 'birth'; those things can be messy!
=========================
i read recently about a person who had accepted money to kill someone, but the job was not done. the article (i think) said the 'person' had not committed a crime by not fulfilling the contract because a contract to kill someone is not legally binding. something like that. so maybe Green can get away with murder without committing any murders!
bri :)
Hi Bri, I bet if 'Green' was having this conversation with you in person you would have had less trouble with the last stanza.
At least until you’re gone,
But in a box, or on two feet,
I’m open to suggestions,
Until this job has run its course,
You’re under my protection.
So what 'Green' is saying here is that he has to decide whether you really are a bad person and he should honor his contract, or perhaps the person who hired him is bad in which case Green will kill him and let you go free. A third possibility is that Green will kill both of you.
In any case soon you will in fact be gone but in a coffin (Green kills you) or on 'your own' two feet (because Green let you go unharmed) has yet to be determined. Not only that but Green will also protect you from other possible contract killers at the risk of his own current physical body until your case is settled in his mind.
Previews of Part Two will shown in advance only to people who give me a really good comment on Part One. Ha!
