Love is synonymous to God! When man and woman trust each other and love each other without any cohesion and free of all control, there is a slice of heaven! The poem concludes with a lofty thought! Our true home is heaven, all paths lead to Rome, Our joy - His presence, the end of all strife. Truly love these lines!
No one wants control, but both must feel safe, Trust is the answer to questions unanswered, ..... with love only we belong without which it's not a a life.

This poem speaks quietly in a voice that does not show any stress or sadness. It is a perfectly balanced utterance, that does not deny the difficulty of achieving such composure. And the format of the poem supports the theme; the stanza form is solid and firm, and those four-line blocks of sound seem to be on the march toward heaven. One Question: I was raised Roman Catholic and so Rome was perceived as a sacred city, that's what we were taught. Why does Rome play such a central role in the later section of your poem?
