the same type of thing has happened to me, but i don't blame/credit the word porcessor. [hey! a new word.] i blame my brain/fingers. there are some redeeming features to this poem, not the least of which are the new words pooible and impooible. you forgot to mention the new word entertwined. i was looking for the poem for voting in the challenge poetry contest (BJ's brilliant brainstorm) , when i noticed this outstanding title. outstanding like a farmer in his field of sunflowers on a cloudy day. thanks, pal, for sharing. speaking of poo, i was making up 'tiny toilet tribute' poems while waiting to get out of bed this morning. when i told my wife what i was doing, she said I'm embarrassed. embarrassed to be my wife, that is. :) bri
We say an idea can change your life and your pooible idea has cast a spell of gloom and joy for its subject matter and poetic charm respectively, Brian.
As for me, it is not only the humor that this poem creates which strikes my heart, but the realistic theme which it seeks to establish. Whether the poet's main concern was the humorous aspect of it or something else, i am touched by the message conveyed here. It is rather fortunate that in life, the making of one mistake may lead to numerous inventions.(As in the case of Brian, ha!) . It is absolutely real, how in our lives, we discover new things simply out of the errors we make, be it deliberately or accidentally. This poem's use of 'pooible' and 'impooible' (although wrong spellings) gives it a unique beauty that is both humorous and didactic. While some things in life are possible, others are not. The poet's ability to clearly appreciate and welcome both the possibility and impossibility makes him tolerable and loyal to his partner. He would speak the truth as it it than to lie to the partner that everything is possible, just to please her. I like it....good job! come on.....10 for this! ha!
